The Fondazione Garbald in Castasegna runs a «Denklabor» (think lab) and carries the openminded spirit of the family Garbald into the future. For this the Villa, planned by Gottfried Semper, and the new tower by the architects Miller&Maranta stand available. For the past 10 years the Bündner Kunstmuseum has collaborated by bringing special impulses to this location through annually changing presentations. In doing so the Bündner Kunstmuseum strives particularly to preserve the legacy of the photographer and artist Andrea Garbald and to keep alive the art of photography in this house. Following this principle the artist Florio Puenter from St. Moritz has been invited. He has made a specific selection of his work and with the medium of photography and its history, has laid a unique trail of controversy throughout the rooms of the Villa. The presentation also affords deeper insights into this work, which is documented in the accompanying publication as well.
